EVERYTHING IS BETTER
ON THE WATER
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the world's fastest growing watersports. It's open to everyone and with expert tuition from The Paddle Shack, it's easy to master the basics and you'll be exploring the River Dart on your first session. All of our sessions are tailored to your needs, and our friendly instructors are here to help. We can take you to places only accessible from the water.
ABOUT US
The Paddle Shack is Dartmouth's leading paddleboarding and adventure specialist and we are proud to announce we are now part of the Sea Kayak Devon family! The Paddle Shack was set up by Alana (Lanny) in 2017 after years of working on the River Dart and coasts of South Devon. Lanny believes that by making people aware of our waterways and the wildlife, they are more likely to care about them. Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a fantastic vessel for exploring as you can get really close to nature without disturbing it.
We are lucky that the River Dart is right on our doorstep so it doesn't take long to paddle away from the hustle & bustle of Dartmouth. It also means that you have quick access to plenty of places to re-fuel and re-hydrate straight after your session!

The Paddle Shack is also an audited training school with the Academy of Surfing (ASI) and all of our instructors are fully certified.

In 2022, we are proud to be an accredited wildlife safe operator with The WiSe Scheme.

WILDLIFE SAFE OPERATOR
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to get closer to nature, in a way that is respectful to marine wildlife. We are proud to have been accredited by Adventure WiSe, part the The WiSe Scheme, which is the UK's national training scheme for minimising disturbance to marine wildlife. As a Wildlife Safe Operator, we commit to abide by not only national and local laws on wildlife conservation and disturbance avoidance, but also the WiSe Codes of Conduct, in addition to any local wildlife-watching codes.
